Connection Hour

My name is Amanda Benedict. I teach the Toddler Sunday School Class at Prentiss. I have a degree in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University and hold a NC K-6 Teaching License and a Preschool Add-on License. I have worked at Macon Program for Progress for 19 years. During those 19 years, I taught in Early Head Start and Head Start/NC Pre-K for 15 ½ years and currently work as an Infant/Toddler Education Supervisor. I enjoy working with children and watching them grow and meet developmental milestones, as well as, teaching them about Jesus and His love for them.

My name is June Hodgin. I teach the Pre-K/Kindergarten Class and serve as the Sunday School Coordinator. I have been involved with the Christian Education Program at Prentiss for over 40 years. I love working with children and have a passion to see our children taught the Word of God!

I'm Crystal Parker and I help teach the 1st and 2nd grade class. I've been working with children at Prentiss in different capacities for over 20 years. It is a joy to help kids learn about God. 

My name is Jennifer Worley. I co-teach the 1st/2nd grade class with Crystal Parker. I have been involved with the Christian’s Education Program at Prentiss for 16 years. In addition, I also teach 2nd grade at East Franklin Elementary. I have taught there for 20 years. Teaching children is a joy and is truly a blessing from God! 

Hello, I am Debbie Davis.  I have been in Children’s ministry for over 40 years.  Children are such a joy to work with, they have my heart.   The most important decision for a child is to give their heart to Christ.

I pray that one day they will remember some words that Christ has spoken thru me and give their hearts to Christ. To make a difference is my utmost goal. 

My name is Melanie Moffitt I teach the Pre-teen class. Prentiss has been my church home for over 37 years and I have been involved with the Christian Education program for approximately 23 years. Children are the future of our church and need the tools in which to build a firm foundation. Some of my first students are now serving in leadership roles here and I am privileged to be teaching their children. 

Hi my name is Amber Ramey. I teach Middle School Sunday School at Prentiss Church Of God. Prentiss has been my home Church my whole life and I have helped with kids in some sort of fashion for about 25 years. As a teen I stepped up and helped in nursery and later I became a Sunday School Teacher. It is so important that our children are taught the truth, if we don't teach them the world will. I do my best to bring truth to the young minds that is our future world changers through Christ. 

Hey, my name is Michael Melton and I help teach the youth Sunday school class. I have been involved in youth Sunday school and the youth group for 22 years. I love seeing students grow in their walk with with the Lord as new believers.

My name is Roddy Hughes, I’ve been at Prentiss for over 20 years. I currently serve on the pastor’s council. I enjoy getting together on Sunday mornings with believers and diving into God’s word. We have a great time discussing how His Word applies to us in our daily lives. 

Hello my name is Danny Prince and I have the honor of teaching the Adult Sunday School class. I answered the call to the ministry when I was 15 years old in 1970. We have been here at Prentiss a little over a year. We cordially invite you to join us in the classroom across from the Pastors. God Bless!!!
